Prof. asoc. dr. Eglantina Gishti is currently Associate Professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Tirana. She has a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” Italy. Her main research interests focus on Corpus Linguistics, Natural Language Processing and translation of specialized texts. Prof. Gishti carry out researches on the nature of the lexicographical and terminology situation (language databases: their role in terminology development). She has published several research papers and articles in various international journals.
She has international experience as visiting lecture at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2011, 2015 and 2016. In addition, she has a remarkable experience, as scientific coordinator or member, in numerous international research projects with University of Sorbonne Paris Nord (France), University of Copenhagen (Denmark), University of Bologna (Italy) in the fields of Applied Linguistics and Natural Language Processing.
Dr. Gentian Elezi has an extensive experience in the area of European integration, researching and teaching courses at BA, MA and PhD levels in different universities, including as visiting lecturer at the University of Cambridge (UK). In addition, he has practical experience in this field, having held office as Deputy Minister for European integration of Albania (2013-2016), and in advocacy and dissemination experiences from working with think-tanks and international projects as an expert/consultant. He is currently a lecturer at the Institute of European Studies of the University of Tirana.
Dr. Elezi has a PhD and an MA in European studies, both from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Milan, Italy. He has published several research works and articles on European integration and EU accession.
Prof. dr. Aljula Jubani is the Head of the Institute for European Studies at the University of Tirana. She has completed her Ph.D. in Experimental Phonetics, in 2006, at UNICAL – Italy, with the first acoustic study of the complete phonological system of the Standard Albanian Language. Her research is focused in analyzing and determining the acoustic features of the phonological system, whose results are very important to tackle different issues not only in the domain of the metalinguistic studies, but also for logopedics studies and in the area of forensic linguistics. Her research interests include linguistics (gender & linguistics, political linguistics), religious studies, cultural heritage studies, Albanian diaspora studies (arbëresh, arvanitas, arbënesh), etc.
Prof. Jubani has 24 years of experience as university professor and researcher. During her career she has held various positions, such as: Head of the Department Linguistics, Vice Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology, Editor-in-chief of the journal of the same Faculty “Albanological Studies” etc. She has been an evaluation expert “Sportello Linguistico Arbëresh” (Calabria, Italy); She is member of the Commission of Language and Literature, Academy of Sciences of Albania, Member of the Inter-academical Council for the Albanian Language etc.
Prof. Jubani has been invited as guest lecturer and she has collaborated in scientific projects (as coordinator or member of the coordinating group) with Albanian and foreign universities, including University of Calabria, University of Lecce, University of Venice (Italy), Institute of Balkan Languages (Thessaloniki-Greece), Humboldt University (Germany), Charles University (Czech Republic), Limerick Institute of Technology (Ireland), University of Nysa (Poland), College of Social and Media Culture (Toruń, Poland), etc..
She was awarded the medal “Pro Ecclesia and Pontefice” (Egregia Opera Stvdioque Conspicvis Praecipve Constitvtvm) by Pope Francis, in 2021.
Prof. asoc. dr. Bernard Dosti is the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research at the University of Tirana. He was graduated from the University of Tirana in Economics in 2005. He successfully completed his Master’s degree at the University of Tirana in collaboration with the University of Bamberg, Germany. From 2005 onwards, Prof. Dosti is a full-time lecturer in the Department of Economics, University of Tirana. He teaches various courses mainly in the field of public finance and economics of European Integration.
In 2011, Prof. Dosti earned PhD degree at the University of Tirana in the field of pensions. He has been an expert on the Platform for Trans Academic Cooperation in Innovation. He has participated in a number of national and international academic activities in the field of public finance, pensions, corruption and European integration.
Prof. Dosti has participated in several national projects supported by Albanian National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation and international projects of various programs such as Erasmus+, Pacino, Strew, etc.

Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mirela P. BOGDANI is a lawyer graduated on 2000 from Law Faculty, University of Tirana, Albania and afterwards attended all academic qualification programs at this institution. This training includes the Scientific Master’s program in Public Law (2003), the Professional Master’s in Business Law (2009), Doctorate on elections administration (2011) and currently is attaining the academic title Associate Professor (2013). Her academic background also includes in-depth postgraduate studies and specializations in the areas of international commercial arbitration for the settlement of disputes in the field of investments public at Queen Mary University, Center for International Commercial Arbitration – London BM (2005) and in Legal Writing & Reasoning at American University, Washington College of Law – USA (2008-2009).
During her professional career, Ms. Bogdani have worked as a law professor in the Department of Public Law from November 2000 onwards, in the subjects “Political and legal institutions”, “Legal Writing and Reasoning, as well as “EU Foreign Policy”, in the Bachelor, Master, doctoral program, and currently in the integrated Master of Science in Law program and Executive Master. From 2019-2022, she held the position of Chair of the Permanent Committee for awarding of the scientific degree ‘Doctor in law’ at the Faculty of Law, and from 2020-2022 she has been member of Academic Senate of the University of Tirana. Currently, Ms. Bogdani is a member of the High Prosecutorial Council from March 2022.
From 2012 onwards, Ms. Bogdani have been engaged by the School of Magistrates (SoM) in the Initial Training Program in the module of Legal Clinic subject, as a scientific mentor (specialist), guiding magistrates in drafting of pro bono Legal Memoranda (legal opinions) for high justice institutions – Constitutional Court, Supreme Court, General Prosecutor’s Office, Administrative Courts, etc., for issues of interest in their daily work, reflecting the most professional in-depth legal research in international standards and best practices, as well as the national case law. From 2012 onwards, she has been engaged in the Continuous Training Program of SoM conducting training on Reasoning and Writing of Court Decisions, Justice Efficiency – focused on CEPEJ tools, Time Management and Freedom of Expression.
In her professional experience, are listed furthermore the engagement in international donors funded projects such as USAID, Council of Europe, EU, OSCE, etc., on judicial reform, justice efficiency, transparency and accountability, rule of law, human rights, freedom of expression and media, anti-corruption, drafting legislation, etc. From 2012 onwards, Ms. Bogdani is the focal point for the HELP Program of the Council of Europe – Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals and from 2021 a member of the HELP Advisory Board.
